feel Change BUILD

Hello Reader!

I've been trying to write 2 newsletters for some time now. First, The Bookletter and then HR Kate. And it doesn't seem to matter which one I'm working on, I find something for the other one. So I decided why not combine both?

When working with my HR clients the biggest problem I have isn't whether they have good resume experience or the proper LinkedIn profile; it's whether or not they believe they deserve more.

All of the latest job search and social media hacks won't do a thing if you don't believe in yourself to go after it.

Enter Feel Change Build. The newsletter that goes beyond what to ask at your interview and what to post on LinkedIn. We will dive into what paradigms and frameworks are really holding you back from taking more credit for your work and going for that promotion. We will explore how to set more boundaries in your life so you have time to actually enjoy the fruits of your labor. And we will figure out what to let go in order to level up to the life you are meant to be living. The life you deserve.

So Let's Gooo!!!!!!

Welcome to the feel Change BUILD! A newsletter for anyone who is ready to change their life.

The steps are simple:

  1. Feel your feelings.
  2. Change your thoughts.
  3. Build the life you want.

If you're thinking, "It's not that simple, Kate!", I hear you. If it was easy, everyone would do it. But it is that simple. My brain loves to say, "What about this?" or "You can't do that," but, fortunately, I'm in charge, not my brain. That was one of the first and weirdest things I had to learn. And I'm still understanding how it works.

This newsletter isn't going to be a perfect program to fix your life. Everyone knows, my life isn't fixed, let alone perfect. Feel Change Build is a discussion. A community. An exchange of ideas that starts with "What if we tried this?" or "Why isn't this working?"

It's a supportive community for anyone who isn't satisfied with getting by or good enough. For anyone who knows that they are here to do more. And for anyone who wants to help others do the same.

So I hope you'll stay and bring your wisdom and comradery to the Feel Change Build community and invite your awesome friends to join us!

This section is where we're going to learn who we are. This is where I'll share books (nonfiction and fiction!), podcasts, or ideas that help us explore who we are, not what we are. We are someone's child and may be someone's parent, sibling, employee, or boss but those are the roles we have in our lives. Not who we are as a person. We need to find out who we are first before we can find out what brings us joy.

Change

This is the section where going to try to change something. It doesn't have to be big. It doesn't have to change our entire life. But it has to make it better. This is where the life hacks I've learned from friends and other successful entrepreneurs will add to the discussion on how to get things done and make things better. Sometimes it will be as simple as changing our perspective; sometimes it will be one of those annoying things we should do for 30 days to make it a habit :)

BUILD

I think building something is the fastest way to joy. And that's why it's the ALL CAPITAL last category and step to creating the life you want. It's time to take what you've learned about yourself, what changes you have been willing to make, and build ANYTHING YOU WANT! Are you ready to go after your dream career? Do you want to build a business that fills you up and fits around your life? Is having a family or community of friends to enjoy your life with the most important goal for you? Let's get you all the tools and resources you need. This is the section where we'll get into the how of building the life you want. And this is just the beginning. I can't wait to see where we go from here!

I'm here for women who are done apologizing for their emotions, asking permission to change, and building lives designed by committee. Your intensity isn't too much - it's your superpower. Your thoughts aren't broken - they're just protective patterns ready for revolution. Your dreams aren't too big - they're finally big enough.

Hello Reader! This week I'm exploring why self-care feels like such an obligation. Otherwise I'm trying to soak up the kids as much as possible before they go back to school in less than two weeks. So I only have one category but lots of thoughts on it. Feel My friends were discussing how much they hate the term ‘self-care.’ How it wasn’t realistic, they didn’t have time for it, it was too expensive, and it literally just becomes another to-do list item they don’t have the time or energy to...

Book in sunset

Hello Reader! I've been exploring what inner wisdom means to me and in my research. We're also trying to enjoy the end of summer with evening pool parties and golf matches. And taking time to read for fun! Feel I've been struggling with the word wisdom lately. In my writing, I'm trying to describe that inner knowing. That intuition. That gut feeling. You know, wisdom 😂 But I don't like that word. And I can't figure out why. Maybe because I associate with the old mentor in movies like Mr....

Hello Reader! This week, we're exploring letting things go! Everything from past regrets to difficult people in our lives, I've been contemplating how much time and peace I get back when I say to myself, "What if this didn't matter to me?" This week has also been a time to catch up on summer with swimming, bike riding, and, of course, coding. We had a lovely trip to the mountains last week to visit family, but now's the time to live up the rest of summer! Feel I used my 90-second Dual...
